We represent developers, purchasers and sellers in the development, acquisition and disposition of commercial and residential multifamily properties as well as both buyers and sellers of residential homes, condominiums and cooperative apartments. Our firm works closely with purchasers on financings and, where necessary, on Section 1031 like-kind exchange transactions. We also prepare and file Offering Plans and Declarations for the conversion of residential buildings to condominiums and represent developers before the New York State Department of Law's Real Estate Finance Bureau.
We work with community groups and individuals who are seeking or opposing the issuance of permits and variances before Boards of Trustees, Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Appeal and in State Courts. If necessary, we bring proceedings challenging the determinations of these governmental bodies in the New York State Supreme Court.
